DODGE VIPER SRT10 ACR-X TO BE LAUNCHED BY JULY 2010
Dodge's ultimate muscle car, Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X has officially entered production last month. The official debut of this incredible machine from Dodge will be in July 2010.
In Ralph Gilles' (President and CEO, Dodge) words, "The 2010 model year is going to be unique for the Dodge Viper in many ways both on and off the track, so to kick it off with production of our ultimate special-edition Viper ACR-X is our way of paying tribute to the performance engineering expertise of our SRT team, combined with the passion and dedication of Viper Nation, to keep the tradition going strong".
Now the surprise!!!!!! The Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X is powered by an 8.4-liter V-10 engine, equipped with factory headers and low restriction exhaust system. This power house delivers the beast 640 hp, which is 40 more than the production model and 605 lb-ft of torque which is 45 more than the production model. The suspension of Viper SRT10 ACR-x has also been tuned and upgraded specifically for on-track usage. In addition to aerodynamic upgrades which improve downforce, the weight has been reduced by 160 pounds. Apart from these, a factory designed roll cage, race seat and fuel cell are delivered for the ultimate racing experience.
